South East Indiana Real Estate - For Sale By Owner © 2007If you have decided to place your home on the market and sell it yourself, then you have come to the right place. This section of my web site is designed to help For Sale By Owners make the right choices when they market their homes. Why would I, a realtor, try to help For Sale By Owners?The simple answer is that eventualy almost 85% of people who try to sell their homes themselves eventually see how difficult that challenge is and turn to a realtor. When they eventually turn to a realtor, I want that realtor to be me. And if the For Sale By Owner succeeds, and does it with my help, I don't earn a commission, but maybe I will earn a good word from that home owner. If you are a For Sale By Owner there are a few things you need to know. First off, even if you are not a realtor, you will need to supply your buyer with a couple of forms that maybe you didn't know anything about. These are a Lead Paint Disclosure form if your home was built before 1978 and a Sellers Residential Real Estate Disclosure Form. You may also wish to get a Comparative Market Analysis on your home to learn the correct pricing for your home. You may also want to look at the section Staging the Home to find out ideas for making your home more appealing to a buyer.
